Against a backdrop of discarded televisions that will be recycled, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett today announced a new TV recycling program and presented the latest figures which showed that recycling in the County is at an all-time high.
Also participating in the announcement were County Councilmember Phil Andrews, Department of Public Works and Transportation Director Art Holmes, and Mike Keough, president of E-Structors, the contractor responsible for processing the televisions.
Under the television recycling program, residents may bring their old sets at no charge the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station located at 16101 Frederick Rd. in Derwood.
