Against the backdrop of a pyramid of televisions, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will announce the County’s new TV recycling program that allows residents to bring used televisions to the Transfer Station for recycling. Leggett will also announce the County’s latest recycling rate as progress is made toward the goal of recycling 50% by 2010. Joining the Executive will be Art Holmes, director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation, County Councilmember Phil Andrews, and Mike Keough, president of E-structors, the contractor that transports and recycles the televisions. Directions: The Transfer Station is located on the east side of Rte. 355 just south of the intersection of 355 and Shady Grove Rd.
