Leggett Joins Local Veterans to Announce Creation of Veterans’ Commission
Just days before the County marks Veterans’ Day, County Executive Isiah Leggett will be joined by veterans from several wars, including those who have served in the Iraq War, to announce the creation of a County Veterans’ Commission. The Commission will look for ways to make County services accessible to veterans from all age groups and serve as an advisory group to Leggett on issues related to veterans living in Montgomery County. Leggett will forward legislation to the County Council to create the Commission.
