The traditions, programs, color and pageantry of the American Indian will be highlighted at the 10th Annual American Indian Festival to be held on November 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Executive Office Building (Terrace and Lobby Levels), 101 Monroe Street, Rockville.
Entertainment, lectures, crafts, educational displays and native food for the entire family will be offered. Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will present a proclamation recognizing November as American Indian Heritage month. The Grand Entry, featuring a parade of dancers, and presentation of the proclamation, will begin at 1 p.m.
The free event is sponsored by the Offices of the Montgomery County Executive, The City of Rockville, Montgomery County Public Libraries and the American Indian Society of Washington, DC.
