A little snow can't keep us down
Yes, it's chilly out and hey look, there's even some snow on the ground, but that doesn't seem to be slowing anyone down here:

Thank you, Anne & Elaine for a pic from Thai Pavilion, Adam, Alyssa & David for one from Spice Xing, and Susan for one from Thrive Yoga - the latest entries in our Stay Warm, Rockville! contest
Somewhere you like to go in Rockville to stay warm when it's chilly out? Take a photo, upload it to our Facebook page or email it to this address before Feb 28, and you could win one of five $25 gift certificates to spend at that place. Winners selected from the business or non-profit for which we receive the most photos. In the lead so far: contestants for Phillips Seafood, Thrive Yoga, and Bean Bag Deli. You've got 10 days to change that!
Contest photos & details here.
Around Town
Whatever you want - live local music, jazz from the Monterey Jazz Festival, a free Chinese New Year celebration, a drawing workshop, discussion groups, storytimes and concerts - we've got it here.
From the Jazz Festival at Strathmore and the West End at Austin Grill tomorrow night, to a Lunar New Year Celebration at F. Scott Fitzgerald and a Deep Delicious Rest class at Thrive Yoga on Saturday, to folk singer Cosy Sheridan at UUCR on Tuesday and the Paramount Jazz Orchestra at Paramount Jazz Orchestra at Potomac Grill on Wednesday, there is something to listen to and do every day of the week in Rockville (and usually too many to choose from). Rockville Central also notes that there is a Tax Prep Workshop this Saturday, and Rich Gottfried and TCA are presenting 2009 Tax Tips at Rockville Library next weekend.
Lots more unusual things are coming up next weekend, from an IceBar at the Rooftop to Socrates Cafe at UUCR to "The Grand Duke" at F. Scott Fitzgerald - check the calendar to see them all. And don't forget to bring your camera or cellphone and enter our contest!
