Metro update: June 15-17 Red Line single tracking
Metro update: June 15-17 Red Line single tracking Metro will perform major track work over the weekend of June 15-17. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday. SINGLE TRACKING • RED LINE: Trains will single track between two work zones: Forest Glen and Takoma and Friendship Heights and Medical Center. Red Line trains between Shady Grove and Glenmont will operate every 24 minutes throughout the weekend. Customers should build an extra 15 minutes into their travel plans.
