D1 Beat:

• No significant activity to report.


D2 Beat:

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred overnight from Friday, 6/1 to Saturday, 6/2 on Fairglen Lane, Moorland Lane, and Glenbrook Road in this Bethesda beat. All of the vehicles had been left unsecured and loose cash was targeted.


D3 Beat:

• No significant events occurred during this reporting period.


E1 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at Gerlein Orthodontics, 5550 Friendship Boulevard, Chevy Chase sometime between Thursday, 5/31 and Monday, 6/4. Unknown means of entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 5100 block of Westport Road, Chevy Chase on Thursday, 5/21 between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during the overnight hours on several nights during the week in this Bethesda beat. Incidents occurred throughout the beat, however most occurred in the residential neighborhood just south of River Road, off of Springfield Drive. All of the vehicles were either unsecured or entered with no signs of force. Vehicles were searched and cash, iPods, sunglasses and other loose valuables were taken.


E2 Beat:

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during the overnight hours, primarily between Thursday, 5/31 and Friday, 6/1. Entry was gained into five vehicles parked in residential driveways, all but one in the Landon Wood neighborhood of Bethesda. Vehicles were either left unsecured or entered with no signs of force. Laptops, electronics, glasses, and cash were reported taken.


E3 Beat:

• Two vehicle related incidents occurred this week at Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda:

• On Monday, 5/28, between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., a vehicle was taken from a parking garage.
  
• On Friday, 6/1 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., clothing and a cell phone were taken from the trunk of an unsecured vehicle. Between 3:00 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on that same date, entry was forced into another vehicle and an auto stereo was taken. Both incidents were also located in a parking garage.

E4 Beat:

• Three thefts from vehicle incidents were reported this week in this Bethesda beat:

• In the 9800 block of Broad Street during the early morning hours on Tuesday, 5/29. Unknown entry; attempted removal of car parts.
  
• In the 10400 block of Grosvenor Place on Thursday, 5/31 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.
  
• In the 5000 block of Cushing Drive overnight from Saturday, 6/2 to Sunday, 6/3. Two unsecured vehicles were entered and searched. Cash and a DVD player were taken.

• Two thefts of vehicle parts occurred in the 10600 block of Weymouth Street, Bethesda overnight from Wednesday, 5/30 to Thursday, 5/21. Entry was forced.
