A1 Beat:

• A vehicle theft occurred in the 12200 block of Academy Way, North Bethesda on Sunday, 8/5 at 1:21 a.m. No suspects were seen.
Vehicle: Honda Accord.


A2 Beat:

• No significant events to report.


A3 Beat:

• An armed robbery occurred at Maryland Avenue and Prospect Hill Place, Rockville on Monday, 8/6 at 8:14 p.m. The suspect bumped into the victim from behind and implied a gun under his shirt. He obtained $10 and fled on foot towards Monument Street.
Suspect: B/M, 20-22 yrs. old, 5’11”-6’, 150-180 lbs., shaved head.


A4 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred in the 600 block of Azalea Drive, Rockville on Friday, 8/3 between 12:00 p.m. and 3:43 p.m. Unforced entry; cash taken.
Suspect: H/M, 27 yrs. old.

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in this Derwood beat overnight from Wednesday, 8/1 to Thursday, 8/2, all from unlocked. Cash was the main target, although one victim had some CD’s taken. No one was seen in any of the thefts. Most of the victims lived on either Wick Lane or Kipling Road, although one victim lived on Oak Meadow Drive.


B1 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at Matchbox, 1699 Rockville Pike, Rockville on Monday, 8/6 between 4:11 a.m. and 4:35 a.m. Unforced entry; cash taken. The suspect was caught on a surveillance video.
Suspect: Unk/M, 5’7-5’10”, 175-190 lbs., black hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.

• Two thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between Tuesday, 7/31 and Wednesday, 8/1. Both had broken windows and loose items in the vehicles were taken:
  • Between 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of E. Argyle Street, Rockville. Took cash and property.
  • Between 11:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the 200 block of Monroe Street, Rockville. Took a laptop computer.
• Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the lower level of the garage at 130 Rollins Avenue, Rockville. Both had a window broken and miscellaneous items left inside taken:
  • Between 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, 8/5 and 6:15 p.m. on Monday, 8/6. Took a cell phone charger.
  • On Monday, 8/6 between 10:15 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Took a GPS & sunglasses.

B2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2300 block of Henslowe Drive, Rockville on Friday, 8/3 between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Unknown means of entry; wallet taken.

• A commercial burglary occurred at the Plaza Deli, 1445 Research Boulevard, Rockville between Friday, 8/3 and Monday, 8/6. Forced entry; property and cash taken.

• Two attempted thefts from vehicles occurred on Thursday, 8/2 between 3:00 a.m. and 3:25 a.m., both in the 13700 block of Lakewood Court, Rockville. In the first instance, the victim saw the first suspect in one of his vehicles and went outside. The suspect fled on foot, met up with the other suspect and they ran off. Three vehicles were searched but nothing was taken. In the second instance, two vehicles searched but nothing was taken.
Suspect: W/M, 15-18 yrs. old, 5’7”-5’11”,190-210 lbs., dressed all in black;
Suspect: W/M, 15-18 yrs. old.


B3 Beat:

• A residential garage burglary occurred in the 9100 block of Charred Oak Drive, Potomac on Friday, 8/3 between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Unforced entry; cash taken.

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in this Potomac beat, with most occurring overnight between Thursday, 8/2 and Friday, 8/3. All of the vehicles were unlocked or had unknown entry. In two instances, nothing was taken, but in all others, cash was taken. Affected streets included: the 9200 block of Hollyoak Drive, 7900 block of Cindy Lane, 9000 block of Charred Oak Drive, 7900 block of Deepwell Drive and the 8000 block of 8012 Carita Court.

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 11200 block of Tilden Crest Lane, Potomac on Monday, 8/30 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Unknown means of entry. A wallet was taken from the vehicle and the victim's credit card was used.
Suspect: B/M, 22-24 yrs. old, 5’8”-5’9”, 175-180 lbs.


B4 Beat:

• No significant events to report.
