Olney Chamber Flash News August 13, 2012 National Night Out The Olney Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors would like to thank all of the area businesses who participated in last Tuesday’s National Night Out. The evening was a tremendous success to help raise police awareness and crime prevention. The board would also like to thank Mark and Mary Ann Malakoff of Kang’s Black Belt Academy for co-chairing the event to perfection! Best regards, Trevor Waddington Olney Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President Community Night Coming October 3 The Olney Chamber of Commerce will present the 33rd edition of Community Night & Taste of Olney on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. The From 5 - 8:30 PM, the Longwood Community Center is once again the place to be for the renowned Business Expo. Over 3,000 visitors will browse scores of local exhibitors in a business-to-business or business-to-customer setting. Sponsorship opportunities re available, and businesses promote themselves by donating to the popular Silent Auction and Raffles. Watch the mail for more information on ways to participate. Keep in mind, to avoid late fees, the registration deadline is September 14, 2 PM. Don't miss this outstanding opportunity to market yourself at this long running, highly anticipated event. Biz Buzz This Thursday The Olney Chamber of Commerce monthly Biz Buzz will take place this Thursday, August 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Inn at Brookeville Farms. The Biz Buzz will be held in this historic setting at 19501 Georgia Ave, Brookeville. The Biz Buzz is an informal networking opportunity for Chamber members. There is no cost to attend and reservations are not required. There will be an open bar. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards and conversation. Announcements: FORE! Come join us for a fun afternoon at the 19th Annual Olney Open - Lions Charity Golf Tournament on September 7 at Laytonsville Golf Course.
