Forum Theatre presents

By Young Jean Lee
Directed by Michael Dove
July 12 - 29
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Acclaimed playwright and director Young Jean Lee transforms her life-long struggle with Christianity into an exuberant church service. Both celebratory and confrontational, Church will test the expectations of religious and non-religious alike looking deep into why we believe what we believe.
Watch the Do&Go.org behind-the-scenes video about Church. Hear from Forum’s Michael Dove about the play and take a peek into the rehearsal room.

Featuring the artists of Happenstance Theater
Concept by Elena Day and Antony Bolante
Head Writer and Video Editing by Antony Bolante
July 12 - 29
Live clown performances devised by on the nOse productions and Happenstance Theater. Weaving onscreen interviews with onstage antics, on the nOse will shred your clown stereotypes into a bucket of confetti.

Contradiction Dance presents
The Gift
July 14 & 15 – Family Performance
Inspired by the classic tale "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein, Contradiction Dance's The Gift tells the story of a boy and a tree, and the intricate relationship that develops throughout the boy’s life. Their friendship naturally ebbs & flows, finally resting in a moment of mutual appreciation. Blending dance and theatre, Contradiction Dance brings this magical story to life. The Gift is a physical expression of the struggle to discover, and subsequently appreciate, unconditional love.

Cinderella Confidential
By Eric Coble
With Brianna Letourneau and company
Directed by Brandon McCoy
July 14 - 29 – Family Performance

The prince has the shoe. He’s ready to wed. But who’s the woman behind the foot? Two investigative reporters Deb Jabber from Action Newsday Now and Sunny Glamour from Glitter Kingdom Today - compete for the scoop of the century, interviewing everybody from a fairy godmother in desperate need of a day-planner to mice in the witness protection program. Look for cameos from Pinocchio, Jack and his cow, and other celebrities in this no-holds-barred expose of the timeless love story and what it means to find - and TELL - the truth. Featuring Brianna Letourneau, Jon Odom, Elizabeth Jernigan, and Jasmin Johnson.

Taffety Punk Theatre Company’s Generator presents
The Golem
Adapted from the novel of Gustav Meyrink by Daniel Flint
Directed by Joel David Santner and Daniel Flint
Music by Jupiter Rex
July 14 & 21
The Golem follows the story of Athanasius Pernath, a jeweler in Prague’s Jewish ghetto in the late 19th century who is afflicted with a curious amnesia. When a strange man enters Pernath’s life with a mysterious book, the jeweler begins his descent into a labyrinth of murder, madness, and plots of revenge and unrequited love that eventually bring him face to face with his own dark past and mortality. The Taffety Punk’s Generator is a new, ongoing project devoted to conspicuous creation. The Generator will provide workshop opportunities for company members to explore their artistic visions—through plays, dance pieces, music compositions, or any combination of mediums. The Golem is the first public experiment of this new series.

Dressed Up
With Will Gartshore
July 14
Helen Hayes Award winner Will Gartshore returns in two brand new and contrasting cabarets – this one’s one classy, his other one (on July 26 & 27) is sassy.

Happenstance Theater presents
Pinot & Augustine
Featuring the artists of Happenstance Theater
July 15 – 28Family Performance
A sure-fire 45-minute crowd-pleaser, Pinot and Augustine is a classic, family-friendly clown duo inspired by the golden age of Circus. Pinot is the authoritarian clown in fancy clothes and white cone hat. Augustine is the appealing red-nosed bumbler who punctures his pomposity. Their show bubbles over with physical comedy, virtuosity and musical surprises from the sublime to the ridiculous: from lyrical melodies on a musical saw to pratfalls and a whoopee cushion.
Watch the Do&Go.org behind-the-scenes video about Pinot & Augustine. Sabrina Mandell talks about the show and Mark Jaster plays a musical saw.
