Metro to Hold Public Meeting for
Crystal City Station Access Study

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), in partnership with Arlington County will hold a public meeting as part of the Crystal City Station Access and Second Entrance Study on June 21.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, June 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Aurora Hills Community Center, 735 18th Street S. Arlington, Va., at the corner of 18th St. S and S. Hayes Street. The center is within walking distance from the Crystal City and the Pentagon City Metro stations.

This public meeting is the first of two for the Crystal City Station Access study. The purpose is to hear directly from Metrorail customers and Crystal City residents about access issues at the Crystal City station, and potential improvements that would address them. The meeting is open to all, and no registration is required.

Upon arriving at the public meeting, participants can review information about the study and speak individually with the project team. A brief presentation will be given, followed by small-group sessions to discuss specific topics.

After the public meeting, the study team will use suggestions received from participants to create a list of improvement alternatives. The alternatives will be evaluated in summer 2012 and a set of recommendations will be presented to the public in fall 2012.
