The Montgomery County Police have an active lookout for a domestic assault and abduction from the Good Hope area of Silver Spring on May 4. A male suspect and a female victim are believed to be in a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer. Photos of the suspect and victim along with a complete description of the vehicle are included.

Weekly Crime Summaries for all six county police districts, Rockville City, and Takoma Park were published April 30 and May 3.

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a theft incident involving a police impersonator that occurred today in Silver Spring. The driver of a vehicle then pulled next to the female victim, yelled that he was the police, showed her a badge pinned to a vest, and told her to pull over. No police lights or siren were used on the vehicle. The driver stole the victims purse and cell phone.

The Takoma Park Police are warning of thefts from vehicles following a series of thefts at two gas stations along New Hampshire Avenue. The Takoma Park Police have included a demonstration video which shows just how easy it is for thiss type of theft to occur. Items in your unlocked vehicle at a gas station are at risk anywhere in the county.

The Montgomery County Police Department’s Safe Speed program is expanding to include 18 additional automated enforcement locations throughout the county. These new automated speed enforcement locations are the result of an assessment of the currently monitored locations and community requests for additional enforcement sites.
