Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Burglary Suspects

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have been investigating a residential burglary that occurred between December 31, 2011 and January 2, 2012 in the 2400 block of Hayden Drive in Silver Spring.

On January 2 at approximately 3:00 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Hayden Drive for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier. The homeowner returned home from vacation and discovered that an unknown suspect(s) had broken into the home. Preliminary investigation by officers on scene revealed that the suspect(s) forced entry to the home through a side window and removed property, to include a credit card.

Detectives determined that the stolen credit card had been used at several stores to include a CVS in Olney. Detectives were able to obtain video surveillance of two suspects individually using the card at different times at the CVS on January 25.

Police are now releasing photos of the two suspects. Detectives are asking that anyone who recognizes these suspects or has information about this burglary to please call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 301-565-5835. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
