Events   March 8-15, 2012 VisArts Presents FIELD WORK An exhibition focusing on community, resources, sustainability and art; opening Friday, March 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. In conjunction with this program, VisArts will be holding our first F.E.A.S.T. in the Gibbs Street Gallery. Chef Andre Cavallaro will prepare a public dinner to support new and emerging artists. Rockville Civic Ballet presents The Odyssey   Odysseus, returning from the Trojan War, encounters mystical creatures on his way and must overcome his true wife's suitors to take back his crown and home. Saturday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 Edmonston Drive. Register for the Citizens Police Academy The Rockville City Police are accepting applications for the upcoming Citizens Police Academy. The free, nine-week course starts March 20, and will consist of a weekly evening class at Glenview Mansion, 603 Edmonston Drive. Applicants must be over the age of 18. Email Cpl. Ken Matney before March 12 to be considered. Attend the Montrose Preschool Open House The City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks has a long history of providing a quality, licensed preschool program that is nurturing, innovative, fun and rich with culture. Come to our open house, Thursday, March 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., 451 Congressional Lane, to learn more.  Be a TERRIFIC Rockville Citizen Do SIX or more good deeds and earn a bike. It's that easy! This program is open to all students enrolled in grades 1-5 in Rockville public or private elementary schools. All completed submissions must be returned by close of business Monday, April 2.
