Pizza Delivery Robbery Concludes with Arrests

Rockville, Md., March. 1, 2012 - The Rockville City Police Department arrested two men in connection with a strong arm robbery and theft that occurred Wednesday, February 29, at 201 Dawson Avenue in Rockville.
Ivian Clinton (05/15/1987),no fixed address, and Denzell Parker (03/10/1993) of 357 North Van Buren St, Rockville, MD were arrested and charged with strong arm robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft.
On February 29 Rockville City Police Officer Bates was investigating an unrelated call on Dawson Avenue when he observed a pizza delivery person running after someone. Officer Bates gave chase, catching up to the delivery person who indicated he had just been robbed of two pizzas and provided a description of a suspect. A police canine was successful at establishing a track and a police perimeter was established in the 300 block of North Van Buren St. Investigators were able to identify a residence where the suspect might be hiding and made contact with the homeowner who escorted them into the home. Once inside the home, investigators made contact with Parker and Clinton. Located inside Parker's room were clothing items used during the robbery and two warm pizzas identified as those that had been delivered to the address of the strong arm robbery.
Both subjects were taken into custody, interviewed by investigators and then admitted their involvement. Clinton and Parker were taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Parker is currently being held without bond and Clinton is being detained on $35,000 bond.
