![]() WSSC Drinking Water Not Affected by Power Outages Water is safe to drink LAUREL- August 28, 2011: The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission’s (WSSC) two water filtration plants are fully operational despite the storm. The drinking water WSSC is providing its customers in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties is safe to drink. WSSC is experiencing power outages at pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants but these do NOT affect the drinking water. Continue to check our website for updates related to the storm. |
