Simple, Decent, Affordable Homes   HFH-MC will offer a Homeownership Information Session on May 18, 2011.   The session will include a general overview of the Habitat Homeownership program, homeowner requirements, the selection process, and an intake meeting with a member of the Family Selection Committee.    Those who have already attended a session in 2010 can make an appointment to update their information.  Details are below. Requirements Requirements for Habitat homeownership include: a demonstrated housing need ability to pay a monthly mortgage legal permanent U.S. residency lived or worked in Montgomery County for the past year a willingness to partner with Habitat throughout the homeownership process For detailed information about homeownership criteria, please click here. About the Process     During the session, attendees will learn about the Habitat homeownership model, requirements for purchasing a home, the selection process, selection criteria, etc.    Attendance at an information session and completion of an intake meeting does not guarantee receipt of an application, notification of projects, nor selection as a Habitat homebuyer. If you have attended an information in 2010 and would like to be considered for future projects, you must attend another intake meeting but you do not have to attend another information session.  To register for another intake meeting, please call 301-990-0014 x21, x18 or x15.    Appointments to update your information are available on May 18th and 19th only.
