Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the M&T Bank located at 3720 Farragut Avenue in Kensington.
Today at approximately 1:16 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the bank for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. Through the course of the investigation it was learned that two men, both armed with handguns, entered the bank and verbally demanded cash. They received an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured. The suspects were last seen on foot headed southbound towards Dupont Avenue.
Suspects Still at Large
Both suspects were described as black males approximately 6’ tall. One suspect was last seen wearing a green and brown camouflage-patterned hat and jacket, and blue pants. The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, jacket, and pants.
