Affiliate Update

Welcome to the Team
The next time you are on the site please make sure you say hello to our new Site Supervisors, Ed and Mike.  Ed and Mike are eager to meet all of our construction volunteers so we hope you can make it to the site soon!

Advocacy Campaign Update
We have a great Advocacy Intern developing materials that will help us all campaign for more affordable housing options in our area.  Watch for some exciting new materials to be released soon!  Please remember to sign an advocacy post card every time you are on the site, at the office, or shopping in the ReStore.  It only takes a minute of your time, but it could bring lasting results.

Building on Faith
   building on faith
Are you looking for an opportunity for your congregation to give back to the community?  Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is currently seeking committed, passionate, and motivated members of your faith community to help us fulfill our mission of creating home ownership opportunities for very low-income families living or working in Montgomery County.

Here are just a few of the many ways you can help with affordable housing needs in our community: Volunteer in a team build with a group from your church, incorporate your youth group by planning a fundraiser, or become a member of our Faith Relations Committee.

Please contact Cara Montufar, Faith Relations VISTA, at (301)990-0014 x25 or cara.montufar@habitat-mc.org for more information.

Volunteer Tips

The busy holiday season is right around the corner!  If you are at a loss for gift ideas, consider giving the gift of time and volunteer at HFH-MC with one or more of your friends.  Contact Molly for more information.

In Next Month's Issue...

We hope to have more news about two more NRP families getting their keys.  Make sure you come to the site to help us meet our deadlines!
