Tis the Season for Giving & Thanking & Helping Out
Yes, it's November already! We'd like to note that while you're preparing to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, there are also lots of ways right here in Rockville to lend a hand to others.
The City has kicked off its Holi day Drive and welcomes your help in sponsoring a family for the holidays, delivering food on Thanksgiving, or donating toys. See a list of suggested items at Rockville Shares. You can also drop off toys for the Toy Drive at Robeks in Congressional or Robeks in Town Square any weekend through mid-December.
The Friends of the Library are holding a Used Book Sale on Sunday, 12-3, to benefit the library and welcome you to stop by and browse. The UU Church of Rockville is holding its 42nd Annual Bazaar on Saturday, 8:30-2, and welcomes donations before the event and shopping on the day of the event!

- An ActionCOACH seminar on Strategies for Growth, tomorrow (Friday) 11:30-2:30 at Congressional Country Club

- A Job Search Workshop and Information Fair on Saturday at the Council Office Building, sponsored by Congressman Van Hollen and Councilmember Floreen
Take a break from the shopping and job-hunting and come out to Rockville High School for The Pink Panther Strikes Again on Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00, the final weekend of West Side Story at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater, a night of rock, gospel and blues at Strathmore, or any of the many other musical and theater events happening around town.
* * *Congratulations to newly-elected mayor Phyllis Marcuccio, and councilmembers Britton, Gajewski, Newton, and Pierzchala. Save the date, Sunday Nov 22, to welcome them into office at the Inauguration of the Mayor and Council at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater at 1:00.
