Montgomery Council Committee to Discuss Restaurant Nutrition Information Bill

ROCKVILLE, Md., October 28, 2009—The Montgomery County Council’s Health and Human Services Committee on Thursday, Oct. 29, will hold a worksession on Bill 19-07 that would require certain County restaurants to post nutritional information on menus and menu boards. The legislation, whose chief sponsor is Councilmember George Leventhal and which is cosponsored by Councilmember Duchy Trachtenberg, would include some amendments since its original introduction in 2007.

The Health and Human Services Committee, which is chaired by Councilmember Leventhal and includes Councilmembers Trachtenberg and Nancy Navarro, will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Seventh Floor Hearing Room of the Counci ...more
