Many thanks to our friends at Freddie Mac for spending TWO FULL WEEKS with us onsite! We got a lot of drywall done and we moved a few houses pretty far along. A huge bear hug goes out to all our crew leaders -- new and old -- who really pushed their limits and came out day after day, sun or rain, hot or cold, to make sure our work is always top notch. We cannot do this without our crew leaders -- THANK YOU! As always...we like to hear from you! Please let us know how you liked your time on the site and take our construction survey. Please complete the survey each time you come out! | | Affiliate Update | | Employment Opportunity Advocacy Campaign Launch Next time you are on the site, in the office, or shopping at the ReStore please make sure you fill out an advocacy postcard. Everyone should fill out a card each time they volunteer or visit us so we can show our local, state, and federal officials that our communities need safe, simple, decent, and affordable housing. | | | | | Events | | Potomac Day Stop by Potomac Day on October 24th and say hello! | | ReStore News |  Acquisition Assistant Volunteer Habitat ReStore is looking for energetic, mission driven, articulate volunteers to help acquire donations and maintain corporate relationships. This position will require a minimum of 10 hours a week (very flexible on exact times and option to work from home) and you must have transportation. The volunteer will work closely with the Marketing and Communications manager in creating and maintaining corporate relationships for sponsorship and for merchandise donations. We are currently looking for members to join the Habitat Ambassadors Bureau! What is that you ask? It is a small group of individuals who help to increase awareness of Habitat's programs in Montgomery County by speaking at and/or attending various community events such as: employer fairs, charity fairs, team build lunch n' learns, church outreach fairs, community days (such as the upcoming Potomac Day) and other information sessions.
