G1 Beat:

• An armed robbery occurred in the 500 block of Thayer Avenue in Silver Spring on Monday, 8/17 between 4:45 p.m. and 7:11 p.m. The victim was socializing with one of the suspects. One suspect produced two weapons and demanded property. Another suspect then took personal property from
the victim.
Suspect #1: B/M, 19, 5’08”

• A commercial burglary occurred at Falkland Chase Leasing Office, 8305 16th Street in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 at 3:48 a.m. Forced entry, nothing taken.
Suspect: W/M, 5’10”- 6’02”, 140-155 lbs., short blond hair

• An attempted commercial burglary occurred at the Georgia West Apartments, 8708 1st Avenue in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 at 11:08 a.m. Attempted forced entry, nothing was taken.


G2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 8900 block of 2nd Avenue on Tuesday, 8/11 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. No forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Highland Drive on Tuesday, 8/11 between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. No forced entry, property taken.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 8900 block of 2nd Avenue on Wednesday, 8/12 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:07 p.m. Attempted forced entry, not gained, nothing taken.
Suspect: B/M, light complexion, blue shorts

• A residential shed burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Spring Street in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 at 11:12 a.m. No forced entry, property taken that was later recovered.
Suspect: B/M, 5’08”-5’09”, gray beard, blue baseball cap, black coat & jeans

• A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Schuyler Road in Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/11 at 1:48 a.m. Forced entry to a storage closet, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1600 block of Sanford Road in Silver Spring on Monday, 8/17 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• A commercial burglary occurred at Baskin Robbins, 8639 16th Street, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/18. Unknown type entry, unknown if property was taken.

• Two thefts from vehicles occurred on Brisbane Street in Silver Spring between Friday, 8/14 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8/15 at 8:00 a.m. Windows were broken out of the vehicles. CDs were taken in one vehicle and nothing was taken in the other.


H1 Beat:

• An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in the 8700 block of Flower Avenue in Silver Spring on Saturday 8/15, at 1:16 a.m. The suspects ran up behind the victim and demanded money. One suspect began punching the victim and the other suspect tried to take the victim’s property. The victim screamed and the suspects fled on foot without obtaining anything. A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were arrested. The third male suspect is still at large.
Arrested: Two males, age 16 from Silver Spring and age 17 from Germantown.
Suspect #3: Unknown race male, 15-16, 5’03”

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 9200 block of Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 at 12:22 p.m. A suspect approached the victim from behind, pushed her to the ground and took her purse. The suspect fled on foot.
Suspect: H/M, 15-16, 5’03”, black and gray stripped shirt, faded jeans

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 8700 block of Carroll Avenue in Silver Spring on Monday, 8/17 between 12:47 p.m. and 12:57 p.m. The female victim was approached by three suspects. One suspect and asked for change. She refused and threatened to call the police. When the victim
pulled out her phone to call, that suspect took the phone and fled on foot.
Suspect #1: H/M, 30-35, 5’06”
Suspect #2: H/M, 13-35, 5’00”, black t-shirt, brown shorts w/ plaid pattern
Suspect #3: H/M, 5’04”, 120 lbs., black t-shirt, light brown shorts w/ plaid patterned shirt.

• An aggravated assault occurred on Monday, 8/10 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Hood Street in Takoma Park. Two male suspects stopped an adult female victim in her car. One suspect, who was armed with a knife, pulled her out of her vehicle. She was thrown to the
ground and touched inappropriately by the suspect. Both suspects then fled in a vehicle.
Suspect #1: UKN/M, 30, 5’07”-5’10”, 180-200 lbs., medium-length black hair, black shirt, black jacket, blue pants, black gloves, armed with a knife
Suspect #2: UKN/M, 30, black hair
Vehicle: small black vehicle

• A residential burglary occurred in the 9000 block of Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring on Monday, 8/10 between 12:45 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.
Suspect: H/M, 20-29, 5’06”, thin build, wearing blue & white stripped shirt


H2 Beat:

• An attempted residential burglary occurred on Friday, 8/14 in the1500 block of Dilston Road in Silver Spring between 9:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Attempted forced entry, no entry was gained, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1500 block of Dilston Road in Silver Spring on Friday, 8/14 between 9:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. No forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 10300 block of Nolcrest Drive in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• One vehicle theft and three attempted vehicle thefts occurred in the beat in Silver Spring. All vehicles were Honda Accords. 𐂾

• 600 block of Concerto Lane between Tuesday, 8/11 at 11:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 8/12 at 6:30 a.m. The stolen 1996 Honda Accord was recovered in Oxon Hill.
  
  
• 9700 block of Mt. Pisgah Road between Tuesday, 8/11 at 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 8/12 at 10:00 a.m. Ignition was tampered with in the 1996 Honda Accord.
  
  
• 10200 block of Portland Road between Sunday, 8/16 at 7:45 p.m. and Monday, 8/17 at 7:00 a.m. Ignition was tampered with in the 1996 Honda Accord.
  
  
• 10600 block of Lockridge Drive between Sunday, 8/16 at 10:00 p.m. and Monday, 8/17 at 9:45 a.m. Ignition was tampered with in the 1995 Honda Accord.

I1 Beat:

• An armed robbery occurred in the 11400 block of July Drive in Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/12 at 10:56 p.m. An adult male was walking when the two male suspects asked to use his phone. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. Property was taken. The other suspect, also armed with a gun, punched the victim multiple times. The suspects fled toward the White Oak shopping center on foot.
Suspect #1: H/M, 17-25, 5’04”, black baseball hat, shirt & jeans, with

Suspect #2: H/M, 17-25, 5’08”, 200-225 lbs., black baseball hat, shirt & jeans,with handgun

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Sweet Clover Drive in Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/11 between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle in Silver Spring on Thursday, 8/13 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:28 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1800 block of Bronzegate Boulevard in Silver between Saturday 8/15 at 2:15 p.m. and Sunday, 8/16 at 9:30 a.m. No forced entry, property taken.

• Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 12300 block of Featherwood Drive in Silver Spring between Thursday, 8/13 night and Friday, 8/14 morning. Windows were broken out of Chevy vehicles and electronic equipment taken.


I2 Beat:

• A street robbery occurred in the 14300 block of Beaker Court in Burtonsville on Monday, 8/10 at 11:25 p.m. Two male suspects approached a pizza delivery victim. After delivering pizza, the victim announced the cost. One suspect displayed a gun and fled on foot with the pizza.
Suspect #1: B/M, 20-25, 5’05”-5’08”, black jeans, white shoes, with handgun
Suspect #2: B/M, 20-25, 5’05”-5’09”, bright colored shirt, with black handgun

• An armed robbery occurred in the 14500 block of Fairdale Road in Silver Spring on Thursday, 8/13 at 1:26 a.m. The male victim was outside when he was approached by three armed suspects. The victim was forced into his residence where the suspects took personal property. The suspects fled
in a compact vehicle.
Suspect #1: B/M, 19-20, 5’05”- 5’10”, blue gloves
Suspect #2: UNK/M, 17-18, 6’00”- 6’03”, black ski mask
Suspect #3: B/F, 10-20, 5’03”- 5’04”, corn rows/braids, gray hooded sweatshirt
Vehicle: 4-door, small vehicle (possibly a Honda, Toyota, or Hyundai)

• A residential burglary occurred in the 4300 block of Cedar Tree Lane in Burtonsville on Thursday, 8/13 between 5:40 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• Three thefts from vehicles occurred during overnight hours on Sunday, 8/16 into Monday, 8/17 in the Valley Stream Estates area of Silver Spring. One was an attempt and the other two had such targeted items as GPS’s, a cell phone and a shoulder bag.
