Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will kick-off the 2009 Let’s Get It Started Youth Job Expo in a new, outdoor venue in Downtown Silver Spring. The fourth annual youth job fair provides young people between the ages of 16 and 21 with one-stop exposure to a variety of employment, internship and apprenticeship opportunities and community resource information. In addition, youth will have the opportunity to participate in on-site interviews.
To date, more than 50 employers and organizations looking to fill seasonal and permanent positions have signed up to participate, including Home Depot, Job Corps, Capital Remodeling, Eggspectation, Panera, Montgomery County Recreation Department and Montgomery County Public Schools.
