A special thank you is sent out to Girl Scout Troop #6188.  They donated nearly two cases of coveted Girl Scout Cookies to HfH-MC to use as volunteer awards and thank yous!  During one event some people handed over the box they had just bought for themselves and instructed the troop to donate the cookies directly to HfH-MC!  Thanks very much to everyone who supports HfH-MC -- in whatever way, shape or form!   Affiliate Update Stay Connected to HfH-MC! Want up to the minute news and information from HfH-MC?  Follow us on twitter, read our blog Habi-Titus, become our friend on Facebook, and watch our videos on You Tube!  How many ways are you connected to us?  Habitat ReStore News Want to drive the ReStore Truck?     We have a great opportunity open.  We are looking for someone to help our truck driver.  The Truck Driver Assistant would pick up and return goods donated to Habitat ReStore.  We need someone that is available Monday through Friday 9am-5pm and can contribute 20-25 hours per week. ReStore is going back to its roots and we want to involve more volunteers. We have openings for volunteer cashiers, customer service associates, volunteer leaders and truck driver assistants to help one Saturday (or more) of every month. Saturdays are busy, challenging and very fun! The store is packed with friendly customers and there is ample opportunity to interact with other volunteers. If Saturdays don't work for you, call us anyway!  We will find something to fulfill your needs and ours.  Volunteer Needs Join our Faith Outreach Committee The Faith Outreach Committee works to build and strengthen the relationship between Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Maryland and the local faith community (in support of affordable housing). The committee will work to engage faith groups to provide financial resources, participate in construction and non-construction volunteer work, offer prayer as well as support to Habitat homeowners and their families.  For more information, please click here. Internship available! Need to complete an internship?  Need to get SSL hours?  Just want to do good work for a good organization?  Then you might be interested in becoming our new Office Intern.  The Office Intern would be responsible for various office work such as filing, copying, organizing and other duties as requested.   You must be 14 years or older and able to commit to working at least 2 days a week for a total of at least 5-6 hours.  Hours are flexible.   For more information, please contact Theresa Dellomo, Youth Programs VISTA, at 301-990-0014 x 21 or theresa.dellomo@habitat-mc.org. Have a skill in marketing, grant writing, researching or fundraising?  Our Development Department is looking for individuals who would be able to donate some time to helping us research and apply for grants and other funding opportunities. Some research experience required, knowledge of grant writing and fundraising desired, but not necessary.
