Holy Cross Hospital Foundation Names Executive Director
(Silver Spring, Maryland) The Holy Cross Hospital Foundation of Holy Cross Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Studnicky as its new Executive Director. Mr. Studnicky has served in leadership positions with several non-profit organizations and brings a twenty-year background in philanthropic planning and execution to the foundation.
The Holy Cross Hospital Foundation was established in July of 2006 with the express purpose of raising philanthropic funds to further the mission of Holy Cross Hospital to become the most trusted provider of health care and related services in the area.
Prior to joining the Holy Cross Hospital Foundation, Studnicky was the Senior Philanthropic Advisor for the mid-Atlantic Region with Wachovia Wealth Management. There he managed a portfolio of private and public foundations and non-profit endowments, serving both as agent and as trustee. In this role, he worked closely with clients of Wachovia’s private bank, advising them on philanthropic planning strategies and tools.
Previously, he served in leadership roles at the Smithsonian Institution, the National Zoological Park, the National Parks Conservation Association, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where he held the positions of Director of Major and Planned Gifts, Director of Development, and Director of the Capital Campaign. In those roles, he worked closely with the Boards of Trustees and leadership advisory councils, to expand major and planned gift income and position the organizations for long-term financial stability.
