I finally figured out the Google Maps application interface. It is now possible to include interactive location maps in articles which are keyed to the text of the article. Missing person bulletins, crime reports and other articles that include addresses or locations now include maps of the described area. Embedded maps are scrollable and zoomable. The code to do this has been compiled into a single new XML tag [MAP].
