Rockville Police Seek Help in Identifying Armed Robbery Suspects Updated Information ROCKVILLE, Md., Jan. 20, 2012 - The Rockville City Police Department is seeking help in identifying three people who are responsible in the robbery of a Rockville woman and her son as they unloaded groceries in front of their home on Dec. 11. Rockville City Police were called just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 11 after it was reported that a woman and her son were robbed at gunpoint while unloading groceries in front of their home in the 200 block of Cork Tree Lane. When officers arrived, the victim reported that while she and her 17-year-old son were unloading groceries, they were approached by three men. The woman said that two of the men asked her for her bag and she declined, thinking they were offering to help carry the groceries. The third man then grabbed the victim's purse and the two struggled. During the struggle one of the three men pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her son. The son told his mother to give the men the purse and she did. The three men fled on foot. Later that night, the suspects -- two of whom are seen in the attached photos -- used the credit cards that were in the stolen purse at a restaurant on Montgomery Village Avenue. The same suspects later committed another armed robbery at 10:30 p.m. in College Park. That incident is being investigated by the University of Maryland Police Department. Police received several tips, but the identity of the suspects is still unknown. Anyone who may have information about the incident and/or suspects, or can identify the men in the photos is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938.
