OLNEY ASSISTED LIVING PLANS  -
TO BE HEARD THIS COMING THURSDAY

The Montgomery County Planning Board on Thursday, November 17, 2011 will be holding a public hearing regarding the proposed development by Olney Assisted Living. This development proposal calls for a 64 bed domiciliary Care Home in the 17000 Block of Georgia Avenue next to the Olney Church of Christ. The complete Planning Department report and staff recommendations can be viewed below.

We received a presentation regarding this project back in February of this year. The developers have worked very closely with the neighborhood most directly affected - Cherrywood. As the adjacent community  - the developers have conducted numerous meetings with the Cherrywood Board of Directors and HOA and their plans have been very closely scrutinized. The Cherrywood Board of Directors have indicated they've gotten their concerns addressed regarding water run-off and storm water management.

GOCA is also being asked for comments regarding this development proposal. All GOCA Delegates are requested to review the Planning Staff recommendation via the above link. Please send any comments you want to make regarding this proposed development to GOCA President Matt Zaborsky via email to matt@mattzaborsky.com.

Your prompt attention to this matter is requested and sincerely appreciated.
