Leggett to be Honored with Washington LEADer Award from Asian American LEAD

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will receive the Washington LEADer Award from Asian American LEAD (AALEAD) for his support of the organization’s work in the County. The award will be presented at AALEAD’s 12th Annual Dinner.

AALEAD promotes the well-being of Asian American youth through education, leadership, and community building. The organization offers specialized after-school programs, one-on-one mentoring, academic support services and life-skill development for students. We also assist parents with school-related issues affecting their children. AALEAD programs currently serve over 300 students -- representing more than 11 different Asian ethnicities -- in the District and Maryland.
