G1 Beat:

• An attempted armed robbery occurred at Georgia Avenue & Colesville Road, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/17 at 1:57 a.m. Six suspects approached the adult male victim; one displayed a gun. Two were apprehended and arrested.
Arrested: Male, age 18, from Silver Spring; Male, age 17, from Takoma Park;
Suspects: 4 U/Males.

• A robbery/aggravated assault occurred in the area of Colesville Road and East West Highway, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/18 at 12:40 a.m. The suspect, armed with a knife, approached the adult male victim and demanded money. The victim was assaulted and property was taken.
Suspect: B/M, 20-25 years, afro.

• An aggravated assault occurred in the 1400 block of East West Highway, Takoma Park on Tuesday, 8/17 at 7:10 p.m. A 20 year old male victim was stabbed by a known suspect.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Roeder Road, Silver Spring on Thursday, 8/19 at 11:04 a.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown if anything was taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of Ritchie Avenue, Silver Spring between 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8/19 and 1:49 a.m. on Friday, 8/20. Forced entry; property taken. Police located and arrested the suspects.
Arrested: Male, age 17, from Silver Spring; Male, age 16, from Takoma Park; Male, age 15, from Bowie; Male, age 17, from Chevy Chase; Male, age 18, from Silver Spring;
Vehicle: 1999 Toyota SUV, Red, MD tags.

• Residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of Gist Avenue, Silver Spring on Sunday, 8/22 between 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Forced entry; property removed.
Suspects: (2) B/M’s, 20-25 years, 5’9” to 6”, carrying large athletic bags.


G2 Beat:

• A robbery/assault occurred in the area of Georgia Avenue & Noyes Drive, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/17 at 1:57 a.m. Five suspects approached the male victim; one displayed a gun and demanded property. Nothing was obtained.
Arrested: Male, age 18, from Silver Spring; Male, age 27, from Silver Spring.
Suspects: (3) U/Males.

• An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of St. Andrews Way and Thornhil Drive, Silver Spring on Sunday, 8/22 at 1:57 p.m. The adult female victim allowed the suspect to use her cell phone and when he finished, he attempted to forcefully remove her purse from her arm. Two citizens chased the suspect but were unable to apprehend him.
Suspect: H/M, 21-28 years, 5’4” to 5’9”, 160lbs.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Leighton Wood Lane, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/18 at 6:00 p.m. The owner returned home and observed the suspect standing on the stairs. Forced entry; property taken, the suspect fled when he realized he was being observed.
Suspect: B/M.

• A commercial burglary occurred at the Glenwood Pool, 10012 Gardner Avenue, Silver Spring between 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, 8/15 and 6:00 a.m. on Monday, 8/16. The suspect(s) used unknown means to enter the pool area and removed property.


H1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 8800 block of Bradford Road, Silver Spring on Monday, 8/16 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Entry was not forced; property removed.

• A commercial burglary occurred at Maria’s Salon 920 University Boulevard East, Silver Spring between 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, 8/22 and 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 8/23. Entry was not forced; property removed.


H2 Beat:

• A robbery occurred in the 300 block of University Boulevard East, Silver Spring on Friday, 8/20 at 3:06 a.m. Property was taken from the 18 year old male victim.
Suspects: (3) H/M’s, 30-25 years, 5’10” to 6’3”, 140 to 190 lbs;
Vehicle: Red 4 door.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 10000 block of Big Rock Road, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/18 at 4:48 a.m. Unknown entry; nothing taken.
Suspect: U/M.

• A commercial burglary occurred at JC Communications 627 University Boulevard East, Silver Spring on Sunday, 8/22 at 2:09 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.
Suspect: U/M, light complexion.

• A commercial burglary occurred at All State Insurance, 10105 Lorain Avenue, Silver Spring between 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 8/21 and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, 8/23. Forced entry; property taken.


I1 Beat:

• An aggravated assault occurred at Old Columbia Pike and Treetop Lane, Silver Spring on Friday, 8/20 at 11:00 p.m. An adult male was stabbed in the arm after he intervened in a fight. The victim was transported by friends to Laurel General Hospital.
Suspect: B/M, 21-23 years, 6’2”, 190-200lbs.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1200 block of Tanley Road, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/17 between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential garage burglary occurred in the 11900 block of Renick Lane, Silver Spring on Friday, 8/20 between 1:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Unknown means of entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Harlequin Terrace, Silver Spring on Monday, 8/23 between 12:00 a.m. and 1:47 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.


I2 Beat:

• A robbery occurred in the 14700 block of Wexhall Terrace, Burtonsville on Monday, 8/23 at 10:19 p.m. Suspects approached the adult male victim, assaulted him, and removed property.
Suspects: (6) B/M’s, dreadlocks;
Vehicles: Pontiac, Grand Am, Gray, MD Temp Tags; No description on the second vehicle.

• An aggravated assault occurred in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard, Silver Spring on Saturday, 8/21 at 12:45 a.m. The victim was found with a gunshot wound by a citizen and transported by ambulance to Shock Trauma.
Suspects: (5) B/M’s, one described as light complexion, a second suspect described as dark complexion.

• An aggravated assault occurred in a parking lot in the area of Hickory Leaf Way and Avonshire Drive¬, Silver Spring on Monday, 8/23 at 6:19 p.m. Officers responded to an area hospital where a 17 year old male was being treated for a gunshot wound.
Suspect: B/M, age 19, homeless.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 3600 block of Alpen Green Way, Burtonsville on Monday, 8/16 at 1:45 p.m. Forced entry; property was taken. Victim interrupted the burglary and suspects fled.
Suspects: (2) B/M’s, 15-18.

• A residential burglary/assault occurred in the 13200 block of Musicmaster Drive, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 8/18 at 12:20 a.m. A known suspect forced entry, assaulted a resident and fled on foot.
Suspect: B/M, 6'2", 180 lbs, age 30.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 13000 block of Brahms Terrace, Silver Spring on Saturday, 8/21 at 3:02 p.m. A known suspect forced entry and removed property.
Suspect: B/M, 5'11", 190 lbs, age 37.
