*excludes stolen tags District Overview: • The A2 beat was very active this week, especially in burglaries and thefts from vehicles. See the RCPD analyst’s Crime Alert on the A2 burglaries, issued on 6/9. A1 Beat: • A theft from vehicle occurred in the 12200 block of Braxfield Court in Rockville between Monday, 6/2 at 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 6/3 at 6:00 a.m. Rear window was broken and stereo was stolen. • A theft from vehicle occurred in the 12300 block of Braxfield Court in Rockville between Monday, 6/8 at 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 6/9 at 7:10 a.m. Window was broken and purse, wallet, and cash were stolen. A2 Beat: • Robbery: The armed robbery at Bradley Avenue and Radford Court in Rockville on Saturday, 6/6 was drug related. The suspect obtained money after displaying a revolver and was arrested nearby. • Aggravated Assault: The aggravated assault in the 1200 block of 1st Street in Rockville on Thursday, 6/4 at 10:55 p.m. was domestic-related. The victim attempted to assist the suspect and he grabbed her hand and hit her with a baseball bat. He attempted to stab her with a fingernail tool and threatened to kill her. He was arrested on the scene. • Burglary: The burglary in the unit block of Denham Court in Rockville on Tuesday, 6/2 at 11:29 a.m. was mentioned in last week’s Weekly Summary but the report had not yet been turned in. The victim heard a knock at the front door but ignored it. A few minutes later the victim heard a crashing sound and saw the suspect come upstairs from the basement. He went to the front door and then outside. The victim fled to a neighbor’s house. The suspect had broken a basement window and had taken the phone off of the hook. Nothing was taken. Suspect: W/M, 50 yrs. old, 5’6”-5’9”, balding, light colored shirt • Burglary: A commercial burglary occurred at the Manna Food Center, 614 Lofstrand Lane in Rockville between Tuesday, 6/2 at 4:45 p.m. and Wednesday, 6/3 at 10:45 a.m. Forced entry through the front door and property was taken. Suspect: B/M, 51 yrs. old, 5’11”/140-160 lbs. • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 5900 block of Vandergrift Avenue in Rockville on Saturday, 6/6 between 6:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Forced entry was made through a rear window and property was taken. • Burglary: An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Rockville between Saturday, 6/6 at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday, 6/7 at 10:30 a.m. A rear door screen was pried but no entry was made. • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 510 block of Calvin Lane in Rockville between Saturday, 6/6 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 6/7 at 7:30 a.m. Entry was made through a rear window and property was taken. • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 4800 block of Sweetbirch Drive in Rockville on Monday, 6/8 between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Forced entry was made through a front window and property was taken. • Theft from Vehicle: A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 1500 block of Rockwood Drive in Rockville on Monday, 6/1 at 4:30 p.m. Entry was made and property was taken. Suspect: B/M, white tank top, jeans, white tennis shoes A3 Beat: • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of Burgundy Drive in Rockville on Sunday, 6/7 between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Forced entry was made through a back door and property was taken, to include the victim’s vehicle. Suspect: W/M, 44 yrs. old, 5’8”-5’11” Vehicle: maroon ’08 Hyundai Elantra 4D, MD/5DXJ80 • Theft from Vehicle: On Friday, 6/5 between 8:33 p.m. and 8:36 p.m., at Americo’s Foreign Auto Service located at 309 Howard Avenue in Rockville. Forced entry was made and property was taken. There is no suspect description. A4 Beat: • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 7500 block of Buena Vista Terrace in Rockville between Friday, 6/5 at 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 6/7, at an unknown time. Forced entry was made and unknown property was taken. Suspect: B/M, 17 yrs. old Suspect: W/M, 17 yrs. Old • Theft from Vehicle: In the parking lot of Bed, Bath, & Beyond located at 1519 Rockville Pike in Rockville on Wednesday, 6/3 at 10:27 p.m. B1 Beat: • There were no significant events in the B1 beat. B2 Beat: • Robbery: The robbery in the 10000 block of Bald Cypress Drive in Rockville on Sunday, 6/7 at 1:32 a.m. was committed by known suspects over money. Suspect: B/M, 18-21 yrs. old, 5’10”-6’/130-150 lbs., goatee Suspect: W/M, 18 yrs old, NFD Suspect: U/M, NFD Suspect: H/M, 19 yrs. old, 5’9”/185 lbs. • Aggravated Assault: An aggravated assault occurred in the 7800 block of Cadbury Avenue in Potomac on Tuesday, 6/9 at 6:00 p.m. The victim came out to his vehicle and saw the first suspect inside. The first suspect stabbed the victim in the side and on the hand. The suspect fled to a waiting vehicle, driven by the second suspect. The victim did not report the incident until 11:30 p.m. that night, when he went to the hospital. Suspect: B/M, 40-45 yrs. old, 6’-6’5”, red hat, green shorts Suspect: B/M, 40-45 yrs. old, NFD • Burglary: A residential burglary occurred in the 10400 block of Heathside Way in Potomac between Wednesday, 6/3 at 7:00 a.m. and Thursday, 6/4 at 7:00 a.m. Forced entry was made through a garage door and property was taken. • Theft from Construction Site: A secured fenced area was entered and a bundle of 140 foot 1” copper pipe, in 20 foot lengths, was taken from the parking garage at Traville Gateway Drive and Shady Grove Road in Rockville between Thursday, 6/4 and Monday, 6/8 during an unknown time frame. B3 Beat: • Burglary: A commercial burglary occurred at Behnke Nursery located at 9545 River Road in Potomac on Sunday, 6/7 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The owner interrupted the burglary and the suspects fled in their vehicle. Unknown entry and unknown if property was taken. Suspect: B/M, 27 yrs. old, 6’/270 lbs., shaved head, tattoo on his neck Suspect: B/M, 22 yrs. old, 5’11”/170 lbs. Suspect: B/M, 25 yrs. old, 5’10”/185 lbs. Vehicle: black ’00 Kia SUV, MD B4 Beat: • There were no significant events in the B4 beat this week. |
