Friends of the Library, Montgomery County to Open Used Bookstore in Gaithersburg

Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) will open its third used bookstore on April 15 at Quince Orchard Plaza, located at the intersection of Quince Orchard and Clopper roads in Gaithersburg.

The non-profit bookstore will house reading materials of all kinds in addition to tapes, videos and educational games, all at reduced prices. The store also will accept tax-deductible donations of books during normal business hours – Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

A grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities will include live entertainment, free giveaways and arts and crafts for children.

Friends of the Library received financial and in-kind support from the City of Gaithersburg, HarVest Bank of Maryland and Borders, Inc. to establish the new bookstore operation.
