Red Line Resumes Normal Service After Man Hit by a Train
Service disruption lasted more than two hours
Normal service has resumed on the Red Line after a man was hit by a train at the Shady Grove Metrorail station.
The train was pulling into the station at 9:50 a.m. when witnesses reported that the man intentionally placed himself on the tracks and was struck by the train. About 20 minutes later, rescue crews removed the man from underneath the train. He later died as a result of his injuries.
