The City of Rockville is gearing up for the 29th annual National Night Out. This year's event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7. The night isn't only about fighting crime, it's also about having fun. Events include block parties, cookouts, visits from the Rockville City Police and McGruff the Crime Dog.

Join RBAC every Sunday and Tuesday for a group ride. Meet at Welsh Park on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. for an afternoon 45-minute bike ride, starting near the Rockville Municipal Swim Center. On Tuesday meet at King Farm Homestead Park for a neighborhood ride for about an hour. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider; No one gets left behind.

East Montgomery Avenue becomes a festival every Wednesday with great food and services. Local music and farm-fresh, fruits and vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, baked goods and more at the Rockville Farmers Market. Live music is featured June 6 through Aug. 29 from noon - 1:30 p.m.
