Join Us Saturday for a Story and Hike

Croydon Creek

Stop by on Saturday morning for storytime and a hike, 10-11 a.m. A naturalist will read a story for children ages 2-5 and then lead a hike based on the theme of the story. Dress for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult. $3 RES/$5 NR. 
Get Into Mud and Merlot At Visarts

Learn hand building techniques and make a clay project that you decorate and glaze to create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece! We fire your work and you return two weeks later to pick it up. We will be serving merlot, white wine and soda. Saturday, July 28, from 1-3:30 p.m. Registration is $60.    

Throwing Wrenches will perform a FREE concert at Potomac Woods Park Monday, July 30. In case of inclement weather, call 240-314-8682 after 4 p.m. the day of the show. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, dinner, etc. and enjoy the show.

Take A Seminar On Marketing

The workshop will include information on Hootsuite, drip email marketing, and other means to keep your name in front of prospects with a minimal time investment. Join Us for a Gallery Opening

The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive will host a free show in August featuring Eric Garner and Maggie Gourlay, exhibit will run Sunday, Aug. 5, to Tuesday, Sept. 4. Meet the artists at a free reception from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Aug, 5. Barbara Martin will perform at 2 p.m. 

national night out logo The City of Rockville is gearing up for the 29th annual National Night Out. This year's event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7. The night isn't only about fighting crime, it's also about having fun. Events include block parties, cookouts, visits from the Rockville City Police and McGruff the Crime Dog.

Go Out for a Group Ride

Biking Join RBAC every Sunday and Tuesday for a group ride. Meet at Welsh Park on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. for an afternoon 45-minute bike ride, starting near the Rockville Municipal Swim Center. On Tuesday meet at King Farm Homestead Park for a neighborhood ride for about an hour. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider; No one gets left behind.     

Attend our free 90 minute orientation session to learn more about the programs available through the Rockville Women's Business Center (RWBC) and through other resources in the community, including counseling, training, and on-line resources. Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 10-11:30 a.m. 

Go Out To Lunch

Out to Lunch concert band East Montgomery Avenue becomes a festival every Wednesday with great food and services. Local music and farm-fresh, fruits and vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, baked goods and more at the Rockville Farmers Market. Live music is featured June 6 through Aug. 29 from noon - 1:30 p.m.

Come Together on Monday, August 13th in support of Wounded Warrior Project. This year, RedGate and more than 100 simultaneous golf outings across 27 states will support Wounded Warrior Project ™ and enter the Guinness Book of World Records. 1 p.m. Tee Time * $50/golfer
