Join thousands of your neighbors to celebrate our nation's Birthday at the Montgomery College-Rockville campus. Two stages with music start at 7 p.m. and fireworks seen from both stages at 9:15.

City Hall and other facilities will be closed. The swim center and golf course will open limited hours.

See A New Exhibit At The Art Gallery

The art of Waxy Women, Fran Abrams and Elizabeth Steel will be on display in July. You can meet the artists at an opening reception Sunday, July 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center Park. Michael DeLalla, guitarist and composer, will perform at 2 p.m.

Cool Off At The Swim And Fitness Center

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center is a full-service fitness and recreation facility. Located near Rockville's Town Center, the facility features two indoor and three outdoor pools along with a fitness and exercise room. We will be open on July 4 from noon to 6 p.m. We will not be holding any classes on this day.

Watch A Baseball Game In Rockville

Rockville Express home games are played at Montgomery College-Rockville Campus under the newly installed field lights. Games start at 7 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, and kids younger than 12 are free. The next game is Saturday, June 30; come and root, root, root for the home team!

Rockville Science Center is offering two sessions for robotics summer programs at the Bullis School from June 18 through Aug. 10. The Robotics: 101 "Pick-Three" schedule of classes, 8:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. June 18 - June 29 for Session 1; and same time for July 23-Aug. 3, Session 2.

A Chorus Line Is Coming To Rockville

Presented by Rockville Musical Theatre, 17 dancers auditioning for a spot in a new Broadway play tell the director about themselves in song and dance in order to land one of eight roles, Fridays, July 6, 13, 20, at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, July 7, 14, 21, at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, July 15, 22, at 2 p.m. at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre. Tickets on sale.
